42RLE

42RLE - The 4-speed transmission was launched in 2003 and was designed at the same time as the 42LE (FWD drive). Installed in powerful Chrysler 300 series cars, Liberty Jeeps, Cherokee (V6 and V8) with RWD drive and in Dodge pickup trucks with engines from 2.7L to 4.0L. Structurally, it is very similar to the A606 (42LE) transmission - it is simpler in construction: it does not have a differential, chain and several other front drive components.
