RL4F03A - modification of the RE4F03A gearbox, hydraulically controlled.

RE4F03A - The four-speed gearbox was introduced in 1990 in the front-wheel drive Nissan Primera with engines up to 2.0 liters. It is the successor to the RL4F02A automatic gearbox with hydraulic control. The RE4F03A gearbox underwent numerous upgrades and modifications, including in 1994 and 2000, when it was renamed the RE4F03B. After 2000, it was installed in many Nissan models.

RE4F03B - The RE4F03A gearbox modification was introduced to the market in 2000. The differences between it and its predecessor concern the solenoid valves and the valve body.

RE4F04A - The four-speed gearbox was introduced in 1993 in the Nissan Maxima with a 3.0-liter engine. Based on the JF403E gearbox designed for Isuzu, it later found its way into Nissan and Infiniti models with a 3.0-liter engine. Meanwhile, a further modification was made, reducing the torque output of the engines to 2.0 liters. The gearbox was compatible with front-wheel drive vehicles. Called the "Nissan 04," this gearbox was considered reliable and affordable.

RE4F04A

RE4F04B - A modification distinguished by a deep bowl, a different valve body and the design of the B solenoid. The RE4F04A and RE4F04B models have the same housings but sometimes differ in the length of the servo springs.
