5HP19 - 5-speed transmission released on the market in 1995. it is considered one of the most popular boxes repaired in workshops. This commonness is not due to poor quality, but because it is very efficient and was installed in durable cars. Its popularity has not decreased despite the release of its 6-speed successor, the 6HPXX. 5HP19 was installed on Audi with FWD and AWD drive. Designed on the basis of 4HP18 and 4HP18 i 5HP18 gearboxes - that is why most of the components are almost identical. The main feature that distinguishes the 5HP19 from previous transmissions is higher torque and the ability to work with larger capacity engines. The FL modification was dedicated to Audi-Volkswagen with FWD drive, FLA for cars with AWD drive and V6 engines, and 5HP19 was used in BMW with RWD drive.

5HP19

5HP19FL, 01V - modification used in Audi, Volkswagen and Porsche (Boxter 986) cars with FWD drive. Throughout 16 years of production, most of the components of this gearbox have remained unchanged. 01V has an integrated front axle transmission.

5HP19FLA - modification installed in Audi and Volkswagen with AWD drive and V6 engine.

5HP19HL, 5HP19HLA - this modification was intended for the Porsche 911 Carrera (966).
